沙霸(SaPa)，位於越南北部與中國邊境的山區，海拔約3143米，沙霸在法國殖民時期是避暑勝地，所以可以看到許多當時建造很有風味的建築物。我们从河内总火车站乘搭3层卧铺的火车，最高卧铺最便宜，大概20美金，中铺22.50美金，上铺则25美金左右。到达老街省（LAO CAI）已是9个小时半后，接着再转达1个小时多的巴士到沙霸。
SAPA located at the North part
of the Vietnam, where near to border of the China, at a height of 3143 m above sea level. It was a chill out place once French colonel period. We
took the hard sleeper train from Hanoi Railway Station, the 3 decker highest
bed is around 20 USD, middle is 22.50 USD and lowest is 25 USD. We arrived Lao
Cai after 9.5 hours later, then transfer the local bus for a hour plus journey
to reach SAPA.
我们入住的旅店风景不错，房间收费15-20美金，除了免不了高山湿气引起发霉的味道，房间还是可以的。当然穷游不可能去住5星级酒店了。旅店也提供电单车出租服务，24小时付费7美金。
The hotel we stay cost around
15-20 USD, and with a nice scenery. Other than wish some sting of the wetness,
the rest is ok, for sure it’s can’t compare to 5 star hotel with our low budget
travel.
沙霸有很多不同的森林保护区，许多旅行社都有包办探险露营。如果你的行程短促且喜欢比较轻松写意的郊游，龍峽（Ham Rong）是最佳选择，那里也有沙霸少数民族介绍区及舞蹈表演。曾经有人告诉我巴厘岛犹如仙境，此时身在与白云同高的沙霸，观望越南最高的Phan-Xi-Pǎng，才真正感受到仙境的意境。可惜我们太早到达沙霸，一路上看见不少梅花枝正蠢蠢欲动，再不久肯定十分漂亮。
There are some travel agent provide
the jungle trekking tour & camp tour in SAPA forest. With the short trip,
we just visit the Ham Rong Mountain, others than beautiful scenery like the heaven,
there are also have dance performance and souvenir shop of the local races.
这次由于大雾，我们没能顺利进入以商业化著名的ＣＡＴ ＣＡＴ村。幸运地是娜带我下山去了另一个比较没那么多游客的村庄。这里的少数民主都有妇女身穿民族服装或带着婴儿出门售卖手工艺品，男人们都在家里负责耕种之类的粗重功夫。一进入村口，妇女们就成群涌来，一一为你介绍村里构造、问你名字、告诉你她们的一切等等。在此奉劝你们开头最好坚决决定应该回应哪一位及拒绝哪一位，不然全部都会跟著你走半小时的路，最后都要你帮她们买手工艺品。越南旅游部十分周到，虽然她们住在山里，大多都会讲简单英语，既是时６０多岁的老人家。秀美，我们跟着她去参观她的家，他们３家８口住在一间屋子，楼上储存食物，屋前是厨房，中间是客厅，后面则是一间房间。是的，一间房间分３个床褥，父母、大儿子妻小及小儿子妻小同住，真好奇他们怎样生孩子啊？秀美请我们喝了一杯自酿米酒，以示欢迎。最后，连其家婆也搬出刺绣，结果免不了还是要买几件物品。
We could not visit to the well known commercialize local village- Cat Cat because of the bad weather. Any
way we managed to visit the another village where is not so famous and further from the
town. The Hmong women dressed up their costume and selling their hand made
craft, some even carried the baby around. Men are the one who stay home and
responsible on farming and hard work. Once we stepped in the village, some of
the women came to us and great us and offered the service to introduce us about
the village. You are advice to select whom to follow, if not the 2 to 3 of them
will keep follow your whole trip and at the end you will have to buy the craft
from all of them. The Vietnam’s Tourist Department is doing a good job because
most of them can speak simple English. We were guided by Xiu Mei to visit her
house, where living by 3 families, parent, 2 brothers & their wife &
kid. The upper floor of the house was food storage, front part was kitchen,
middle was living room and the back part was a bedroom, the only bedroom where
share by 3 families with 3 mattress. I wonder how they have their kid in this
kind of situation. We were offered a homemade wine which represented their welcome
drink to the guest they like. At the end of the visit, the mother in law and
Xiu Mei were displayed their craft and we couldn’t avoid to buy some from them.
沙霸当地食物较多为烧烤类，还有马肉，马肉我们真的不敢恭维。镇内旅游区则布满各式餐厅以配合外国旅客，多家餐厅都吊有Tripadvisor推荐的招牌。以在宁平的经验，我们亚洲人的口味是与西方人是不同的，他们的推荐口味并不一定适合我们。不过西餐厅还是可以考虑。
Most of the local restaurant
here selling grilled food, and you can get horse meat too in some place, and of
cause I was not daring to try. There are plenty of western and others
restaurant in the town too, some with Tripadvisor’s recommended signage. From
the experienced in Ninh Bing, not all the recommended food is suit to our Asian
tongue but for sure, no harm to try the western restaurant.
