Day 25-26 : Vietnam's Last -- Hoi An 第25-26日: 越南最后之会安篇

*first of all, I would like to apologize for the my broken English here. Please do not continue your reading if you are easily to get irritated by bad English, Thank you!

After the Hue i went to Hoi An by bus which booked under the hotel and it's cost 8 USD and only took 3.5 hours. The bus stop in front of a moderate hotel which cost the same as where i booked. This made me kind of regret because where i book was mess and full with backpacker... If you are not going Hoi An in peak season, i advice you to find hotel there since there are much more choices there.

The most popular in Hoi An is the heritage street, one of the UNESCO in Vietnam. Was told it's very beautiful but actually it's just similar as the Jonker Street in Malacca, with all of the old Chinese style architectures. The colorful lanterns along the river created a romantic atmosphere in Hoi An.It's free of charge to enter the old street but 12 of the historical building such as some museum, temples and ancient houses need to purchase the ticket. You will see the ticket booth at some corner on the street and it charged 4.50 USD for 5 entries.

Hoi An have plenty of cooking classes like Thailand, you can learn the cooking in the same time having the cuisine in their restaurant.  I wonder how many of them will really cook again after back to the country.

Hoi An's Popular

1.  Cao lầu

This "Char Siew" noodle was claimed originally from Japan's Udon, also some said it should be wheat noodle from China. Anyway, is a MUST TRY if you are in Hoi An. The thick noodles are chewy, the pork slice are similar as out Char Siew, it's tasted really good when the whole thing go with the sweet and sour sauce. My favorite was the crispy pork, the crunchy plus the chewy of the noodle were perfectly match!

2.Bánh Bao Vạc

This "won ton" translated as white rose, the minced pork wrapped by the thin layer of rice flour skin and shaped it like a flower. It's taste good with the fish sauce.
